Golf Outing Will Honor Southport’s Chuck Robbins
A golf outing to honor former Southport High School math teacher, football and track coach and athletic director Charles “Chuck” Robbins will be held Friday, May 12, at the Legends Golf Course in Franklin, where registration begins at noon. Walk, Block Party Will Benefit Police
A walk and block party to benefit wounded Greenwood police officers will be held from 7-10 p.m. Friday on the surrounding grounds of the Greenwood Police Department, 186 Surina Way. Registration for the walk – $5 for children up to 13, student-athletes and police officers in their uniforms, $10 for everyone 14 and over – begins at 6 p.m. The event will feature games, food, a silent auction and other activities.
