357-1459 www.nativityindy.org Enrollment: 406 Principal: Terri Bianchini When Nativity Grade School was opened in August 1955 for $140,000, it featured five classrooms, two offices and a large ell-shaped cafeteria and kitchen. Three Sisters of Providence staffed the school of 106 students. The school has grown to include 20 classrooms, a science lab, literacy center and a gym. Our mission statement represents why our families, teachers, staff and I choose Catholic education. We not only work on academic standards but incorporate a holistic approach in guiding our students to reach their potential in all areas of life. A ministry of Nativity Church, Nativity School inspires all of its students to: • Grow in their love of Christ. • Achieve their fullest potential academically, spiritually and physically. • Develop as a faith-filled steward by serving others according to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nativity will be the school of choice for all families of Nativity Parish, as well as for other families who desire a quality, Catholic education with academic excellence for their children. Catholic Schools Week is a national event that is held the last week of January each year. The week is one of the favorite times for our students, families and teachers. Events include the science fair, spelling bee and other events that celebrate our Catholic heritage and traditions. |
