The Rev. Pat Doyle
Pastor of Nativity Parish
That is an important question that always needs to be asked and considered.
Throughout the long history of Catholic Schools, the unique value that they offer is discovered by each person who has been the recipient of the special gift of a Catholic education, which remains a treasured gift and is the foundation for a person’s life.
From the foundation of the first Catholic school, the goal has been to offer a quality education rooted in our Catholic faith and tradition. Because of the success of these schools, those who have benefited from their experience choose to sacrifice in order to make that same gift available to those who desire something uniquely different for their children and other families.
Hopefully, every Catholic school provides an exceptional educational experience that will enable students to achieve great success in life. However, at the same time, every Catholic school is challenged to offer that education from a uniquely Catholic perspective. Faith is transformative. A successful person who has been formed by faith has the ability to do extraordinary things, like helping to transform the world with God’s love.
Why Catholic schools? With a long history of making a significant difference in the lives of people who have made a positive impact in the world, why would we not?
