SUBMITTED PHOTO “More Mornings with the Dads,” a book that details the experiences of 21 dads who have lost 23 children to death, was dedicated Saturday morning during a meeting of the Dads Group at Greenwood Library. The ceremony was officiated by Ken Johnson, chaplain to the Indianapolis Colts. Published by Jerry Bennett and featuring a foreword by former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy, the book was written by the dads, who describe their losses. Bennett, who lost both of his boys, is not one of the authors because the book was in the editing stage when he became affiliated with the group. He has worked more than 50 years in the printing and publishing business. The book is available at www.amazon.com and local bookstores. The group meets at 7 a.m. every Thursday at Denny’s, I-65 and Main Street in Greenwood. Guests are welcome. |
