Franklin Central sophomore Rachel Schiffli won the 50-yard freestyle (23.76 seconds) and 100 butterfly (56.20) at Saturday’s swimming and diving sectional at North Central to qualify for the state finals this weekend at the Indiana University Natatorium at IUPUI. Preliminaries start at 6 p.m. Friday, with finals at 1 p.m. Saturday.
At the Franklin Central Sectional, Center Grove’s Sarah Kempf won the 1-meter springboard diving championship while leading the Trojans to a second-place finish.
