They are amazing individual athletes, but they suspended all ego and supported each other no matter what. Their sacrifice to do what was best for the team led us to the title.” Seniors Nick Williams and Blake Powell and junior Sam Eiland were named to the All-Tournament team, and Williams was the MVP of the tourney. The Rebels won the first game 25-16, dropped the second game 23-25 and won the final two games 25-20 and 25-22. Roncalli advanced to the championship match by defeating defending state champion Carmel. Roncalli, which finished as runners-up in 2011, ’13, ’14 and ’15, concluded its season with a 29-2 record.
