The Woodmen muddled the Mid-State race by handing the Quakers their second league loss, tossing the title chase into turmoil with five teams with two losses. Greenwood has won three straight.
Plainfield led 28-14 at the end of the first quarter before the Woodmen recovered. Max Raker hit a 3-pointer with one second left to force the second overtime. Eric Moenkhaus scored 10 of his team-high 20 points in the overtime sessions.
Greenwood can clinch a share of the league title Friday against visiting Mooresville (8-10, 1-4).
Roncalli downed Heritage Christian on Joe Kirkhoff’s two free throws with 7.4 seconds left. Kellen Schreiber had 13 points for the Rebels with Conner Gore adding 12 and Bryson Meek 11. Roncalli (14-6) can clinch the league title Tuesday at home against Brebeuf.
