Franklin Central senior swimmer Rachel Schiffli scored four wins in four events Saturday in the IHSAA girls swimming and diving sectional at North Central. Fourteen swimmers from Southside high schools qualified for state finals Friday at 6 p.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Indiana University Natatorium on the IUPUI campus.

Schiffli dominated two individual events by winning the 50-meter freestyle in 23.72 seconds, 1.09 second ahead of second place, and the 100 butterfly in 55.05 seconds, a massive 3.57 seconds ahead of her closest finisher.

She is a verbal commit to Akron University in the fall. She also helped in qualifying the Flashes for the state finals in the 200-medley and 400-freestyle relays with times of 1:47.88 and 3:36.75 respectively, finishing second in each relay. Medley swimmers were all-seniors Schiffli, twin sister Regan Schiffli, Abby McCormick and Kathryn Matties.

The Flashes freestyle relay included the Schifflis, freshman Elizabeth White and junior Abbe Hershberger. FC diver Carley Divish was fourth and qualified for the regional Tuesday at Brownsburg; Center Grove’s Kenzie Mills qualified for the Bloomington North regional. The Flashes were second to the sectional host Panthers, 513414.

At Franklin, Greenwood sophomore Grace Nuhfer was second in the 100 butterfly and qualified for the state finals in 57.54 seconds.  Nuhfer also was on the sectional runner-up all-underclass 400-free relay in 3:39.57 with junior Rachel Knight, sophomore Alayna Kenworthy and freshman Madison Peckinpaugh.

Center Grove was third in the 400-free relay and qualified for state in 3:39.37 with seniors Jaden King and Emma Pawlik, junior Gracie Marsh and sophomore Devin Trammell. Center Grove was second to champion Franklin with Greenwood third, Southport seventh, Perry Meridian eighth and Greenwood Christian 11th.
