Coach’s comments: “She (Baird) was great and a blast to coach, but we are moving forward. I’m excited to see the other players step up because they have been hidden for a couple of years. I think we’re under the radar because our opponents know we don’t have Caitie. We have some nice talent coming back. They want to take over their roles and spread it out. We don’t have to find another Caitie; we can fill it with several people. It’s their time to shine. Most of these girls love the big games. They have a new drive. We have a good mix of personalities. Our younger players don’t seem to be intimidated by playing at this level. We will have a lot of options on the floor because we can have different lineups on given nights. We have experience and depth. Our best problem is figuring how who will start. This is going to be fun.”
