BEECH GROVE (8-19) – Coach Lindsey (Galloway) Hall has great expectations … in early October she is expected to give birth to twin girls … Hall and the Hornets are seeking many more wins this season ... Hornets graduated seven seniors, including Lizzie Giller (University of Evansville) … youth movement continues with junior libero Michela Jennings, team high 318 digs, and sophs Alyhssa Walsh, assist leader with 454, and outside hitter Katie Giller, second in kills with 122 and blocks with 38 … Walsh runs the show … Giller is vastly improved … seniors Briana Johnson and Olivia Pich add depth to outside hitting … juniors Kayla Matkins, who plays multiple positions, and middle hitter Abbe Ferrer, who missed last part of season with ankle injury, are back … Hornets journey to Cowan Invitational Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Hall’s comment: “We have a good corps coming back with lots of experience. We’re going to surprise some people this season with this group. We have another Giller, and we’re moving her to outside hitter to get more kills. The chemistry is nothing like I’ve seen since I’ve been here. You can have all the talent in the world, but if your team doesn’t work together, it doesn’t mean a darn. We have a completely different aura. I can’t wait to see how this turns out this year.”
