He was an avid golfer, and he and his wife Karen were season ticket holders and generous supporters of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra “Pops” Concert Series.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Karen L. Davis; children, Chris (Carol Cramer) Haskin, Stephanie (Joseph Fuchs) Archer, Lorna (Dr. Peter Stecy) Davis and Timothy Davis; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Gene’s life will be held sometime in November. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and/or Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. George was a retired steel salesman for U.S.Steel. He loved spending time with his family, traveling to National Parks, playing card games, doing puzzles and gardening. George enjoyed his sweets, especially Pepsi!

GIL ELLIS BOESENBERG, 76, brother, Don (Cynthia) Boesenberg.
Gil attended the Indiana School for the Deaf and was an independent painter. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for the Deaf and would attend the National Convention for the Deaf.

JOHN W. CARRICO, 88, wife, Redadawn Carrico; son, Chauncey Carrico (Teresa); one granddaughter.
John was inducted into the U.S. Army and honorably served his country overseas in the armored division.
John attended the University of Indianapolis where he received his degree in Law Enforcement. He started in law enforcement serving as a patrolman. In 1967 he joined the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. After 33 years he decided to work security for AES Corp. until retiring in 2021.
John collected classic cars and attended car shows. He enjoyed meeting his buddies at the Heidelberg Haus Café.

LUCY ERNSTES CORDER, 94, widow of William Corder; children, Therese (Pat) Pitzer, Ruth (Orrin) Perkins, Mary, William (Beth), Matthew (Debbie), and David (Charmaine) Corder; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Lucy graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1947. She worked for Western Electric, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Ave Maria Guild at St. Paul Hermitage.
Lucy will be remembered as a hard worker, always cleaning, talking, but mostly spending her precious time with her family.

JONATHAN P. DAVIS, 26, significant other, Sarah Sombrio; son, Owen Davis; parents, John and Lisa Davis; siblings, Bobby, Josh, and Eric Thompson, Brittney Brown, Chelsea Davis.
Jonathan graduated from Emmanuel High School. He worked in the landscaping business and drove a tow truck previously. He was incredibly kind-hearted, fun to be around and always had a smile on his face. His family meant the world to him. He liked to spend time with his mom watching movies and hanging out with his siblings. He loved his son, playing with him, reading to him and simply being with him.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and dog, Bailee. What made her happiest was learning about her family tree (all sides) through her genealogy work.

ELMER HARRIS, 92, widower of Joan Harris; children Carolynn (Billy) Hobson, E. Curtis (Judy), Marcus (Patty), and Michael (Babette) Harris; siblings, Fran Jackson, Faye Owens, Jo Stanifer, Larry Harris, Toni Mallott, Sandra Hopkins, and Pat Wagner; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Elmer’s love for his wife and family was only second to his love for Jesus Christ. He was a pillar of strength and demonstrated grace and kindness to everyone. His demeanor was quiet, but had unshakeable faith.
Elmer never missed an opportunity to dance with his wife as he loved to see her smile.

Rose loved playing games, having parties, going to the casino, watching funny movies, listening to music and taking care of babies. She was the baby-whisperer. Rose was a devout Catholic and a patriotic American.

Edith was a lifelong resident of Greenwood. She worked at the Greenwood Food Locker, Commisky Drug Store, and L.S. Ayres as an assistant buyer for Evan Picone, retiring in 1992, after 28 years of service.
Her hobbies were reading, gardening, walking, and crocheting. She enjoyed Danielle Steele romance novels, watching the Colts and Pacers, working puzzles, decorating with her Dickens village for Christmas and watching the neighborhood.

Alayah was born into our lives on June 4, 2023, bringing joy, hope, and love to all who knew and cherished her.
Despite her brief time with us, Alayah made an indelible mark on our hearts. Her infectious smile, the gentle cooing of her voice, and the purity of her spirit filled our days with immeasurable happiness. She was a precious gift to our family, and we will forever hold her in our hearts.

James was a member of the class of 1981 at Manuel High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years.
He worked for over 30 years as a carpenter for Rickeson Cabinets. James was a true craftsman and loved what he did. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, and watching any kind of racing. James was a hard-working man who loved to provide for his family.

MICHAEL B. TOOKES, 71, mother, Rosemary Abbott; sisters, Joyce Tookes Carter and Vivian Tookes; half-sisters, Cheryl Shelton (Steve), Cynthia and Samanthia Tookes.
Mike was a graduate of Harry E. Wood High School, class of 1970.
He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord; always the first to pray when there was a problem and quick to offer help to those in need.
Michael loved his friends and his coffee. He never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his kindness, and being a devout son.

RENA WALDEN-KENNEDY, 89, widow of Harold Kennedy; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Harold was one of the few men in Rena’s life who did not shake in his boots when she walked into the room ... which made for a great marriage.
Rena retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, or as she was fond of saying, “street walker.” She was one of the first female letter carriers in Indiana.
She enjoyed a lifetime of traveling the world. Her favorite destination was the next one.
