Ruth worked at Link-Belt FMC in the Credit Union office and retired in 1978 after 15 years of service. Ruth was a member of many churches throughout her life but most recently, Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. Ruth is lovingly remembered as a gifted pianist and organist. She loved to crochet, solve word finds, and to read. Ruth’s family loved her ability to welcome others into her home with delicious food and pies. Ruth was a fabulous green thumb who adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Helen worked as a receptionist for the State Department in Washington, D.C. She later worked at L.S. Ayres and J.C. Penney in Greenwood.
She was a long-time member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and the Community Church of Greenwood, where she served as a Deaconess. She later became a member of Southland Community Church.

Dominick received an Associate Degree in hotel and restaurant management from IUPUI. He had worked as a chef’s apprentice at the Westin Hotel, then as a Sous chef at the Columbia Club, and also as a manager at Dominos.

Sara graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 1996 and then attended ITT Technical Institute. She was employed by Republic Trash Service for several years and Target warehouse for eight years but was unable to continue working after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016. Prior to the diagnosis, Sara loved reading and enjoyed shopping and knitting.

When she was 18, she moved from Illinois to Indianapolis. She had been a waitress at the Antelope Club in Indianapolis, where she met her husband, Joseph Guy. Virginia loved to read, visit the casino, and was an avid card player.

Edna retired from ISI, where she worked on an assembly line. She loved to gamble, whether it be lottery tickets, playing slot machines, BINGO, or a game of cards, she was quite possibly the luckiest woman around.

DEBRA ANN HASTINGS, 68, husband, Michael; mother, Julia Travis; children, Ryan, Neil (Alyssa), Heather (Russell) Bever and Kelli (Joshua) Gerber; 11 grandchildren.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she attended Kirkwood Community College and became an LPN, later attending IUPUI to become an RN. Debra and Michael met through church and were together for more than 50 years from their first date to her final breath.
She worked nights, primarily at St. Francis Hospital. Frieden’s United Church of Christ brought her community in Christ, and later she also attended Emmanuel Church of Greenwood. Her devotion to God filled her life with joy and purpose. After retirement, she loved being with her children, grandchildren and friends, and traveling around the world with her husband. Her unquestioning faith in Christ inspired those around her to be the best people they could be.

She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1965. Lois married the love of her life, Robert Hensley Sr., after a month-long courtship.
She was an avid watcher of the Wheel of Fortune since it aired in 1975. She loved all animals and the Dr. Pol show. Her favorite movies were The Godfather trilogy. She loved to play cards and board games with family and friends
Lois retired from American Newlong in 2004 where she was a secretary to the director.

Corky served our country in the US Army before marrying the love of his life, Mary Beth on January 30, 1971. Corky worked for the Ford Motor Company as a Floor Inspector, retiring after 37 years. He enjoyed playing golf, a good game of poker, hunting for mushrooms and sharing stories with family and friends.

He served in the US Army for three years with two tours in Vietnam earning several service medals and commendations. He had worked as a long haul driver for the US Mail, retiring in 2007.

Nigel was a 2014 graduate of Center Grove High School. His favorite music to listen to was metal music and he liked going to concerts with his friends. Nigel was naturally talented at playing the drums. He enjoyed living life his way and had fun doing things his own way.

DONNA ANN KREISHER, 76, widow of Rupert Kreisher; sons, Don and Robert Kreisher (Mariana Brown); sisters, Brenda Rollins and Mary Jo Flowers; four grandchildren; friends, Cecilia and Tony Ray.
Donna was born in Beech Grove and earned her Master’s in Education from Indiana University and had a rewarding career as a first-grade teacher. She was the first teacher hired at Mary Bryan Elementary. She treasured continuing to gather with her retired teacher’s group. Donna also enjoyed gathering with her high school graduate class group and playing cards and games with several groups of friends. Donna was a long-time member of Southport Presbyterian Church and shared her faith with her family. Donna’s greatest joy was helping to raise her grandchildren.

EVELINA C., 93, AND RAYMOND J. “RAY” KRUSE, 78, Evelina is survived by her siblings, Nivia Ross, Ocilino, Nelson, Gabriel and Roger Concepcion. Ray is survived by his siblings, Margaret, Michelle, Tommy and Johnny.
Evelina was born in Panama and came to America when she was 19, bringing her brothers and sisters with her. She officially became a United States citizen on September 19, 1972. On February 10, 1973, she wed Raymond J. Kruse. She worked at RCA for 15 years as a line technician. She also worked as a nurse’s aide for numerous years in Indiana and Florida.
Raymond passed away on March 7, 2016, in Dunedin, Florida.
A Life Celebration® visitation honoring Ray and Evelina will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m., at O’Riley Branson Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St. A memorial service celebrating Ray and Evelina will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 7 p.m.

He owned and operated Lambirth Trophy Company for over 30 years. Wendell enjoyed gardening, bowling, reading the Bible and spending time with his family.

Debra spent much of her life in California and graduated from high school there. She had most recently been employed at Marshall’s as a cashier. She enjoyed crafting and along with her sister owned and operated Artistic Creations by the Gibson Sisters. She also enjoyed shopping, collecting native American artifacts and visiting historical homes which tied into her love of history. While she was home, she always had her television on and would watch the Home Shopping Network and QVC. She especially loved her fur babies, Lucy, Ricky, Mia and Scooter.

KARLEE SUE MASON, 5, mother, Carlina Losacco and father, Guner Mason; siblings, Vincent Speer, Kaylee and Lillika Mason; grandmother, Lesa Kraft Mason; grandfather, Perry Mason.
When you first met Karlee Sue Mason, she would try to win you over with her smile and infectious personality. If that didn’t work, you better brace yourself for the sass and spunk. Like a lot of little girls, she liked My Little Pony and Hello Kitty. When she started kindergarten, she immediately fell in love with it. She could not wait to be with her friends each day. When asked to color anything she would immediately reach for the color red. Karlee loved to read and have you read to her. If she was at home or at school, she was always surrounded by friends. If given the chance she would rip off her socks and shoes so her bare feet could be in the grass. Often, she could be seen with the friends and adults in her life making them pinky promise to something she wanted them to do. When she said goodbye, she would always blow you a kiss. On Nov. 28, 2022, she blew one last kiss donating her liver, kidneys, and heart, sharing one last time the deep love she had for all her crossed her path.

KENNETH “KENNY” “KEN” “BEANS” L. MOORE, 70, wife, Robin Moore; children, Tricia (Justin) Weber and Destiny (Daniel) Moore; four grandchildren; siblings, Ron, Melvin and Linda.
Ken began working when he was 14 years old and later obtained his GED. He spent many years working for Kelly Plumbing before becoming a Pipefitter at Amtrak and after 21 years of faithful service, he ventured out on his own to build a successful plumbing business, Ken Moore Plumbing.
Ken enjoyed being with his family and reclining in his favorite chair while “resting his eyes” and listening to his crazy family in the background.

CHARLENE JOYCE NEWMAN, 79, husband, Virgil Newman; stepson, Jeff Newman; sister, Rosie Stringer.
Charlene worked for 34 years for National City Bank, retiring as branch manager. She enjoyed going to the covered bridge festival, visiting Georgia, fishing and buying jewelry.

NORBERT ALLEN NEWMAN, 71, wife, Debra Newman; mother, Lellean Newman; siblings, Lisa Rein and Tracy Newman.
Norbert graduated with a degree in architecture from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY. His first job was with the New York State Hardware Association, after which, he relocated to Indianapolis, to work for the National Retail Hardware Association. In 1989, Norbert opened Newman Design Group where he was actively working at a career that he loved. He loved attending Colts games, traveling, playing golf, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with his buddies.
He was an active, longtime member of Greenwood Christian Church, The Institute of Store Planners, Sons of American Legion, Indiana Seniors Golf Association and a former member of Dye’s Walk Country Club.

June worked as a machine operator for Jenn Industries and retired after many years of service. She was a member of Pentecostal Power of Praise Church and a supporter of Jubilee Full Gospel, House of Victory and Foursquare Gospel Churches. June was a member of the UFW and the Jubilee Women’s Fellowship group. June was known for her amazing homemade pancakes, chocolate syrup and mayonnaise cake. Family and friends lovingly referred to her as “Granny Pancakes”. June was a Bible-loving optimist who always tried to look for the good in everyone she met.

DONALD W. RICHTER, 96, wife, Linda; widower of Emilie; daughter, Ellen Karasevich; stepchildren, Ann Jewel, Chris (Donna) and Nikki Alexander; sister, Patty Herman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don grew up on a dairy farm in Attica, NY working hard from a young age. He attended Cornell University where he studied economics and agricultural engineering and graduated in 1953 with a Ph.D. in engineering.
He knew a lot about a variety of topics including engineering, finance, nutrition and medicine. Don loved Jesus. He served different churches, in various capacities such as deacon, elder, and treasurer.

JUNE ANN ROBBINS, 87, widow of Patrick “Pat” Robbins; sons, Clay (Amy McConkey Robbins) and Lee (Peggy Francis); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hohlt.
June was a 1953 graduate of Southport High School, where she was a top student, class officer and editor of the school newspaper, The Perry News. After high school, she attended the University of Cincinnati.
After Pat’s untimely death in 1963, she devoted herself to raising her two young sons. She had an engaging style, a sincere interest in others, and an irreverent sense of humor. She brought much laughter and joy into the world. Among her passions were Frank Sinatra, the Yankees and Wabash College, from which her two sons and three grandsons graduated.
June worked as a secretary, typically in financial affairs, for American Fletcher National Bank, L.S. Ayres and Company and Eli Lilly and Co., from which she retired in 1997.

CECILIA A. STEINKAMP, 65, husband, Kenneth Steinkamp; children, Matthew (Krystan) Steinkamp and Megan (William) Rogers; four grandchildren; siblings, Theresa Brierton, Kathleen (Mike) Lenihan and Linda (Mark) Bastian, Ralph (Becky) and Larry (Mary) Schutte.
Cecilia grew up in Augusta, IL and was a 1979 graduate of Quincy College with a bachelor’s degree in social work, a profession she did her entire life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Church, once running the after-school programs. She always enjoyed helping people, from her neighbors to kids, such as being a big sister and a girl scout leader. As Director of Human Services, she worked with low-income families providing assistance with utilities, clothes and a food pantry. She was also the director of a youth home in Franklin, IN working with and mentoring kids. Most of all she enjoyed being Grandma to her four grandkids.

NICHOLAS CHARLES “NICK” STEINHARDT, 85, wife, Elaine Steinhardt; children, Kim (Mike) Schaler and Bill Steinhardt; three grandchildren.
Nick attended Southport High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1955. He went on to Purdue University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1960. After graduating from Purdue, he began a 40-year-long career with Indianapolis Power and Light, retiring in 1999 as Manager of System Operations. He also honorably served his country in the US Air Force Reserves.
Nick was a member of American Legion Post 252 in Greenwood and at one time served as the clerk/treasurer of the Town of Homecroft. He enjoyed his computer, Purdue Boilermaker sports as well as spending time in St. Petersburg, Florida.

DAVID KUESTER STONE, 62, wife, Deanna Stone; sister, Lisa Goodwin; two grandchildren.
David attended Franklin High School. He then graduated with a double electrical engineering degree from IUPUI. He was employed as a system specialist at the Federal Aviation Administration and had his own electrical business for 29 years. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching football games and the Indy 500 races.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 at Noon. There will be an hour visitation prior to the service.
MARY ELLEN SEARS WALTZ, 97, widow of Vincent Waltz; children, Greg (Nancy), Brian (Lynne) and Bill (Debbie) Waltz; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Mary Ellen was devoted to her family and her faith. She taught Sunday school for years, participated in social groups of all kinds as well as working part-time once her sons were grown. She was always active and simply lived her life well. She was notorious for her bad jokes and silly sense of humor. Mary Ellen loved to teach her grandchildren new (old) games. And she was always gracious toward and accepting of others. In short, she positively affected many lives and will be greatly missed. She will continue to live in all our hearts.

JOSEPH JAMES WEBER, 93, wife, Cheryl; former wife, Mary; children, Joseph (Anne), Kathleen Hatfield, Christine Sigler, James, Mary Beth Bryant (Dennis), Eileen Shumway (David), William (Sherry), Jeanine, Stacey and Casey; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Tech High School and after graduation was employed by Stark & Wetzel where he worked his way up from the mailroom to Vice President and General Manager. After Stark & Wetzel was purchased by Rath Packing, Joe purchased Superior Linen in Muncie.
Joseph married his high school sweetheart, Mary Waddick, and together they raised eight children. Later, Joe married Cheryl Wood and together they raised twin daughters. He enjoyed spending weekends at their family cabin on Lake Lemon, boating, and good music. After retirement, Joe and Cheryl moved to Los Angeles, CA to be closer to their twin daughters.

TIMOTHY ALLEN “TIMMY” WHITSIT, 52, mother, Carol Whitsit; sisters, Pamela Harding and Kristy Whitsit-Shearer.
Timmy was a 1988 graduate of Southport High School where he played baseball. Timmy loved baseball and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. A sports fanatic, his love wasn’t limited to baseball. He enjoyed cheering on the Colts and the Celtics. Later in life, Timmy picked up golf and never shied away from sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for sports with others. Most of all Timmy enjoyed playing games with his family, especially a good game of euchre.
Timmy dedicated his entire life to caring for others, but he was the ultimate caregiver for both of his parents. He was selfless, gentle, devoted, and a loving man toward everyone he met.

Danielle was a graduate of Perry Meridian High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana Wesleyan University. She very much enjoyed her job as a project manager for both Anthem and Elevance Health Insurance Companies. Her ability to excel in her personal and professional life was something she was very proud of and so was her family. She will be remembered for her passion to help others and her infectious smile.
