Ron leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Susan (Allen) Fisher; son, Aaron Fisher; daughters, Lauren Fisher, and Nicole (Brandon) Landes; grandchildren, Reagan, Jackson, Aryana, and Ayden; mother; Ruth; and siblings, Patricia, Linda, Rhonda, and Yvonne.
Ron attended Southport High School (class of ’74) where he met the love of his life, Susan. He graduated from the College of Architecture at Ball State University. For nearly 44 years, he loyally dedicated his professional career to Schmidt Associates, where he was currently serving as the Chairman of the Board and Principal in Charge. He received numerous awards and accolades over the many years recognizing his contribution to the field of architecture.
Ron was a devout Christian and saw God’s beauty everywhere. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially this time of the year. He was passionate about landscape design and spent countless hours transforming his property into a literal artscape. But above all, he treasured spending time with his wife, children, and beloved grandchildren. He spearheaded frequent excursions, trips, and activities to share new experiences with his friends and family. The memories he created will be cherished and live on forever in those who love him.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at The Creek, 6430 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis, with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Ron was a longtime member of The Creek Christian Church and served on numerous volunteer boards, including WFYI, The Franklin Township Education Foundation, The Sunrise Optimist Club, and the East Tenth United Methodist Children and Youth Center.
Bill was a devoted Catholic with his Catholic upbringing starting at St. Catherine Catholic Church, St. Roch Elementary School and continuing at Sacred Heart High School where he graduated in 1949. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Marcella “Bonnie” Rosebrock Haver on August 8, 1953 at St. Mark Catholic Church. They had many happy years raising their children near Beech Grove and attending Holy Name Catholic Church until moving to the “Far Southside” in 1971. At that time they became charter members of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Bill was also a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bill continued his education at Indiana Central (now University of Indianapolis) where he attended on a basketball scholarship and received his Bachelor of Science in 1953. He completed his formal education with gaining a Master’s degree in Secondary Education at Indiana University.
Bill worked several jobs, including for the Indiana Rubber Company, before finding his true vocation in education. In 1953 he started his teaching career at Edgewood Elementary School and greatly enjoyed coaching the boys’ basketball team there. After six years he moved to Southport High School in 1959 where he held several education and administrative positions. He was Assistant Principal at Southport High School for 20 years. Bill retired in 1992 at the age of sixty after 38 years of service to Perry Township.
Bill had a wonderful appreciation and sense of gratitude for all life has to offer. He was devoted to his family and his faith. He had an endearing personality, a sly quick sense of humor and was selflessly engaged in the activities of each family member. Bill never met a stranger and his endearing sincere interest extended to anyone he met.
Bill particularly enjoyed a good meal, traveling with family and gardening. He enjoyed many a Euchre and Pinochle game with his friends in card clubs that spanned over fifty years.
Having three brothers serve in World War II was a big influence on Bill and over his life he became an avid WWII historian. He was very proud that his youngest son, Michael, served in the Air Force. Bill himself wanted to serve in the Armed Forces but when he tried to enlist during the Korean War they did not have clothes long enough to fit his 6 foot 7 height.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Bill was sadly preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie, and his oldest son, Dr. Dan Joseph Pickard (wife Patricia).
Survivors include sons Brian (Carol) Pickard and Michael (Teresa) Pickard and daughters Suzanne Pickard and Deborah (William) Thompson. Bill and Bonnie had three grandchildren: Catherine and Annamarie Culp and Daniel Thompson. Bill also had many nieces and nephews who he loved.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19 from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm at G.H Herrmann Funeral Home, Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 Thursday April 20 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

James attended and graduated from Franklin High School. He worked at Cold Metal Products and later Franklin High School. He was a member of the Restoration Church. James loved traveling with his wife, day trips or vacations.

DOROTHY “DOTTIE” ANNE CLARK, 74, widow of Dennis Clark; children, David (Stephanie) and Dana (Kriston Sanders) Clark, Denise (Tim) Shank; four grandchildren; siblings, Kathleen (Craig) Babinski, Margaret (Howard) Rodenhiser, Albert (Judy) Johnson, Tracey (Bill) Campbell.
Dottie was a registered nurse with Community Hospital East and Perry Township Schools. She served proudly in the U.S. Air Force where she met and married her husband, Dennis. Dottie enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and playing games.

NORA MAY CUNNINGHAM, 85, widow of John James Cunningham; sons, Chad (Ann), Jeff (Melissa) and Todd Cunningham; sister, Mary Ellen O’Donnell; 10 grandchildren.
Nora was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1955. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Cubs and Purdue. Nora enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren when they were active in sports or other school events. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and had a strong belief in an elevated level of academics for her children and grandchildren.

PEGGY JO THOMPSON FRAZIER, 70, widow of David Frazier; sisters, Nandy (Ed) Snoddy, Mary Thompson, Shirley (Steve) Hicks; daughters, Jennifer (Roger) Fults, Julie (Matt) Knight; five grandchildren; stepchildren, Dean Frazier, Denise Jones; four great-grandchildren.
She retired from the City of Indianapolis in the Department of Metropolitan Development where she was a partner with various organizations on projects such as the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Union Station, the Canal, and City Market.
Her daughters and families were the center of her world. She was the ring leader and instigator of many of her beloved “sister trips.”

RAYMOND “RAY” CHARLES LINDLEY, 90, widower of Corinne Lindley and Norma Lindley; daughters, Brenda and Karen Lindley (Kathie); one grandson; sister, Doris Janneck.
Lindley graduated from Center Grove High School in 1950. He later joined the U.S. Army. He was an accomplished carpenter. He built the home in which he raised his family and performed many home remodeling projects for others. He enjoyed farming, fishing, camping, and watching IU basketball. He worked as a backhoe operator for over 27 years at Citizens Gas Coke & Utility until his retirement in 1992.

CAROL ANN STORY LINTON, 83, brother, Richard Story (Lucia); daughters, Angela Linton, Debbie Moore (Mike), and Michelle Mann (Chad); two grandchildren.
She was a long-time member of Southport Heights Christian Church. She worked in the banking industry before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing euchre, visiting lighthouses and crafts.

Pat was a graduate of Greenwood High School, class of 1968. He worked in the Transportation industry and was a member of Greenwood Masonic Lodge No. 514 F. & A.M, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine. Pat loved to go fishing, travel and spend time with his family.
