Some of Manual’s basketball players from the 1961 state semifinalist team, including Tom Van Arsdale, Leon Carter and Rich Cooper, returned to their alma mater for a fundraising game. The cheerleading squad from that year, which featured Gloria (Coverstone) Annee, Jan (Stephenson) Stafford, Bonnie (McKinney) Short, Roberta (Perkins) Freers, Alice (Hughes) Glover, Sherry (Braun) Slemons and Linda (Hansen) Watson, also reunited for the event.
