The South Side Exchange Club celebrated its 20th anniversary, having donated more than $146,000 to charities over the years. Charter members were Joe Bryan, Urban “Duke” Renner, J. Wesley Brown, Ernie Gates, Cecil Hurt, Frank Scharfe, Clyde Hurley, Wallace Whitman, Bob Morris, Harold Joergens and Allen Campbell.
