I just picked up my copy of the “Remember when ...” book, and it sure has triggered some great memories.
Funny how the ads and news briefs shook out the cobwebs.
As a child who grew up along Bluff Road, I remember hanging out with Janie at Channel 4, Swingel’s Ice Cream on Shelby Street and the old B&K Root Beer shop at Shelby and Sumner avenues.
There are also memories of the olden days at Southern Plaza and the Mardi Gras.
Oops, almost forgot Fox’s Skating Rink. The list goes on and on!
Thanks for bringing back these memories of my old Southside.
The Southsider Voice is the true lifeline of the Southside.
