Benjamin Pohovey Benjamin Pohovey, a junior at Roncalli, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 1776 out of Mount Zion Church, Pohovey has been involved in Scouting for 10 years. He achieved the Eagle rank – only 4 percent of Scouts do – after demonstrating leadership as a patrol and assistant patrol leader, troop guide and instructor and completing his Eagle project, which entailed creating and installing an outdoor Stations of the Cross display at St. Jude Catholic Church.
The 14 wooden stations provide a peaceful prayer space in a wooded area. Pohovey was assisted by about 12 volunteers. SUBMITTED PHOTO
