Brody, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Franciscan Alliance, was honored for his contributions to the hospital, its patients, the community and the healthcare profession.
His associates say he has forged a long career focused on discovering innovative ways to deliver stellar and accessible healthcare to patients while building enduring relationships with the many communities served by the alliance.
Brody, who served as president and CEO of Franciscan Health’s hospitals in Indianapolis, Mooresville and Carmel from 1996-2015, has been at the forefront on many progressive and sometimes thorny issues in the ever-changing arena of the healthcare industry.
“Bob has been a great friend, coach and mentor to me for many years,” said Dr. James Callaghan, president and CEO of Franciscan Health Central Indiana. “He is an outstanding advocate for our patients and communities and has led the way in improving the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Bob is a leader and an innovator, and all of health care is better for it.”
Brody was recognized during the association’s annual meeting Oct. 6 in Downtown.
