The fundraising competition was launched three years ago as an initiative to help publish the club’s full-color literary magazine – “Sandbox Utopia” – but it has evolved into a large-scale event, evidenced by 16 students vying for the crown.
Sayeed, seen with his coach, Jenna Sears, won the title after earning the highest combined score from his interviews, stage presence, talent contest, audience vote and contributions to the school.
Second place went to Mitchell Garrity, coached by Jennie Castoe, and third to Max Heyob, named Mr. Congenialty and mentored by Bailey Webber.
