Alumni Association Awards Scholarships

SUBMITTED PHOTOS Perry Township Schools Superintendent Patrick W. Mapes addressed those who attended the Southport High School Alumni Association’s scholarship program May 21 at the school’s fieldhouse, which was transformed into a colorful banquet room.

Kathryn Watson Roll contributed to the scholarship program, which was valued at $67,000.

Congratulations to everyone who received the scholarship! That's what you get when you choose to be a good student and someone who prioritizes her studies. When I was still a student, I took my education seriously. In exchange, I got different University scholarship. I was not a burden for our family's financial problem because it makes everything light. There's a lot of perks we can get when we choose to prioritize our education!
