Othello, believed to have written around 1603 by William Shakespeare, is a classic story of jealousy and absolution. Iago, a private serving under Othello in the Venetian military, is skipped over for a promotion for the inexperienced Cassio. Iago is also plagued with rumors that his wife has been unfaithful with Othello.
With the aid of Roderigo, Iago sets in motion a revenge scheme that will see Othello’s tragic downfall. Full of energy and strong characters, Othello will take the audience on a roller coaster ride through the extreme ups and downs of love.
Directed by Chris Burton, the production features many of the troupe’s regular performers and actors new to the Indy stage.
