Ford said most of her inspiration is drawn from visits to scenic places in Indiana, with some ideas coming from trips to the southern coast of England, Denver and Gatlinburg, Tenn.
After a lifelong love of drawing and painting, she took oil and watercolor classes upon retirement. Her interest was enhanced while living and teaching in Brown County. “Pictures that tell a story are my personal favorites, along with an occasional portrait,” she said.
Ford’s work also can be viewed from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment (882-5562).
