The musical, set against the backdrop of Gershwin tunes like “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Fascinating Rhythm,” Lady Be Good,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” and the title number, harkens back to the golden age of American musical comedy.
Director Paula Phelan says the sparkling, madcap tale combines laughter, romance and high-stepping Broadway magic.
The production will also be staged Sept. 26, 27, Oct. 1-4 and 9-11. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets, $15 for youths 17 and younger, $23 for adults, are available by calling 926-6630 or visiting www.footlite.org. Tickets to the Thursday and first Sunday performance are $10.
