Based on the beloved film written by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank, the heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Berlin songs.
Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, they follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former Army commander.
In addition to opening night, the classic will be staged Nov. 22, 28-30, Dec. 4-7 and 11-14 at 1847 N. Alabama St. Except for Sundays’ performances, which begin at 2:30 p.m., all shows start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $10 on Thursdays and $20 for all other days, can be reserved by calling 926-6630. Military personnel wearing their uniforms or showing proper identification will receive a discount on admission to the Nov. 30 show.
