Holiday Bazaar and Chili Luncheon at Holy Name
Holy Name Church’s Altar Society will hold its annual Christmas bazaar and chili luncheon from 12-4:30 p.m. (chili only served until 4 p.m.) Sunday at the Parish Life Center, 21 N. 16th St., Beech Grove. The sale will feature crafts, baked goods and about 35 exhibitors. Adults can eat for $6, kindergartners to 8-year-olds, $4; there is no charge for preschoolers. All meals include salad or applesauce, a beverage and a dessert.

Christmas Sale at Benedict Inn in Beech Grove
The “Inn-spired” Christmas sale at Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center, 1402 Southern Ave., Beech Grove, will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. The sale will feature Springerle cookies, religious items, some Sassy Design Jewelry for $5 and lots of marked-down items. Pictures will be available with Santa from 10 a.m.-noon for $5. Baxter YMCA Breakfast with Santa
Baxter YMCA, 7900 Shelby St., is hosting its annual breakfast with Santa from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. McDonald’s will provide the meal. The cost for members is $15 per family (two adults maximum), $3 for children ages 3 to 9 and $5 per person 10 and older. Children 2 and under can eat for free. The cost for nonmembers is $6. Adults can attend for free if they don’t plan on eating. Photo packages will be available. Info: 881-9347.

Silly Safaris With Reindeer Reserve at Library
 Beech Grove Library, 1102 Main St., will host Silly Safaris With Reindeer Reserve at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. Info: 788-4203. 

Christmas Musical/Comedy at Johnson County Libraries
A holiday musical/comedy will be presented by the Triton Central High School chamber choir at 1 p.m. Sunday at White River Library, 1664 Library Blvd., (885-1330) Greenwood, and at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Franklin Library, 401 S. State St. (738-2833). The year is 1209, when John I of England is hanging on to his kingdom by a thread. Recent happenings have caused quite a stir, so he has thrown a Christmas party in an effort to schmoose with his fellow nobleman. But they have other plans ... word on the street is that a secret agent is on his way from the Vatican.

Castlewood Singers Will Stage Christmas Concert
Directed by Andrew Lewis and accompanied by Sue Dykes, the Castlewood Singers will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday at  Resurrection Lutheran Church, 445 E. Stop 11 Road. The ensemble will celebrate the birth of Jesus through song, beginning with selections from the cantata “The Glory of His Majesty.” The program will conclude with traditional carols. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Info: 220-9228. 

Handbell Choir Will Perform
The Joyful Sound Handbell Choir will perform several free concerts this month. The dates, times and locations are: Sunday, Dec. 7, 4 p.m., Center United Methodist Church, 5445 Bluff Road; Monday, Dec. 15, 7 p.m., Crestwood Village, 8813 Madison Ave.; and Friday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m., First Baptist Church, 99 W. Main St., Greenwood.
