SUBMITTED PHOTO The award-winning artwork of Patricia A. Good Payne is on display throughout February at the Southside Art League, 299 E. Broadway St., Greenwood. Good started painting as a youth and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in art education from Ball State University. She studied calligraphy at Purdue and later worked with a commercial artist, continued studies at workshops and has honed her talent through the years. A lifetime hobby of photography stimulates compositions in watercolor and acrylics. Good says she inherited her skills from her grandfather, Nathan Stanley Good, who was a sign painter in the late 1900s. The gallery is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and by appointment (call 317-682-0082).
