World War II Marine veteran Cyril W. DesJean celebrated his 96th birthday Dec. 11 with his family, caretakers and a visit from retired Air Force Brig. Gen. J. Stewart Goodwin.
Goodwin, who serves as executive director of the Indiana War Memorial, presented DesJean with a certificate of appreciation for his service and a challenge coin.
Members of DesJean’s family have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Secret Service.
