Center Grove running back Titus McCoy became the avenging angel Friday against rival and top-ranked Warren Central.
McCoy suffered an ankle injury when the teams met in the regular-season opener, which forced the potential Mr. Indiana Football candidate out of action for most of the season.
He settled the score by his touchdown runs of 10, 1 and 5 yards while gaining 83 yards on 21 carries. After being tied 7-7 at halftime, the Trojans opened the third quarter with a 29-yard TD pass from Jack Kellams to Russell Yeast.
With a three-way running attack, the Trojans ran 48 ground plays with Yeast adding 97 yards and Trevor Hohlt 48.
The Trojans, winners of six straight regional titles, seek their third semistate crown and a return trip to the state finals.
