Four swimmers from Center Grove High School have qualified for the state finals Friday and Saturday at the Indiana University Natatorium, 901 W. New York St.
Senior Alex Krasutsky won the 200-yard individual medley in 1 minute, 56.80 seconds, winning by 3.22 seconds, and captured the 100 breaststroke in 57.50 at the Franklin Sectional.
Krasutsky and Noah Tallman were on the winning 400 freestyle relay with juniors Alex Feitl and Jamie Vance. They finished three seconds ahead of runner-up Roncalli (Eddie Huck, Nicholas Carpenter, Jackson Bauer and Adam Pongracz).
Tallman, a junior, pulled away from the field to win the 500 freestyle (4:41.91) by nearly 10 seconds.
Perry Meridian junior Noah Coomer won the 50 freestyle in 21.28 to qualify for the state meet but was second in the 100 freestyle.
Franklin won the sectional with 431 points; Center Grove was second, Perry Meridian third.
In the North Central Sectional, Franklin Central senior Charlie Boomershine dominated the 100-yard butterfly (51.57) to qualify for the state finals. Boomershine was on the runner-up 200 medley relay (1:40.38) with juniors Matthew Monday, Benjamin Mark and Adam Brabender.
The Flashes finished fourth to champion North Central.
