Lutheran’s seniors are Emma Weeden, Maria Uhrig, Emily Hendricks and Ashlyn Neeb. The Saints have no juniors but four sophomores and two freshmen.
LUTHERAN (10-16) – Saints jelled last year after losing first eight games … graduated three seniors … return with one-two punch of 5-6 senior Emma Weeden (10.9 ppg, 3.0 rebounds) and 5-7 sophomore Erin Pasch (2.5 ppg, 6.0 rebounds), who plays with reckless abandon… Weeden is a veteran point guard who leads the younger players … coach Joe Morgan, a former sprint car owner, can mix and match … 5-7 freshman Riley Morris can play all positions … 5-4 sophomore Darianne Snyder starts at guard … 5-6 sophomore Stormy Bonds has speed and can mix it up underneath … 5-7 freshman Rylee Morris is a savvy freshman who’s ready for varsity action, so is classmate Jaden Feller.

Coach’s comments: “We will start slow, but as the season goes on this team should have unlimited expectations. They have a lot of speed and their basketball knowledge is really good. We’re not very big so we will have to be scrappy. We would like to rebound the ball and run. We have really good leadership with our seniors who work with the younger players on drills. We have no juniors, and I’m very excited about the future but I’m looking at this year with our seniors.
