PUEBLO, Colo. - The defending-national-champion ThunderWolves (11-1) jumped out to a 24-0 lead and didn't look back, handing the visiting Greyhounds (10-2) a season-ending loss in the opening round of the NCAA Division II playoffs Saturday. Up 3-0 after the first quarter, CSU-Pueblo scored a pair of touchdowns off UIndy interceptions before the half. The Greyhounds, who led Division II in turnovers heading into the game, threw just two interceptions in the entire regular season.
UIndy got on the board at the end of the first half on a 65-yard touchdown rush by sophomore Andrew Walker (Chicago/Brother Rice). Senior Connor Barthel (Indianapolis/Cathedral) scored the Hounds' only other TD on a QB sneak in the fourth.
