In addition to a number of exercise programs already offered, the Y will launch free Les Mills BodyPump classes from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 14.
“We are always looking for ways to add variety to our group exercise offerings, which include turbo kick, yoga, Pilates, dance fusion, zumba and water aerobics,” Wellness Director Bobbi Finley said. “Les Mills BodyPump isn’t your typical exercise class; it’s a workout designed to build strength and endurance with lasting results. Designed to cause a true muscle burnout, this class incorporates barbells with multiple repetitions. ”
The Y, 7900 Shelby St., also features workout equipment, basketball and racquetball courts, a swimming pool and free childcare. Membership information is available by calling 317-881-9347.
