Bruce Townsend (left) and his nephew, Matt Askren, won the Wicket World of Croquet tournament Saturday at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, 1230 N. Delaware St., where 43 teams vied for the title. They are seen with Mrs. Howard J. Lacy II of the Lacy Foundation, which presented the event.
Also participating were his brother (below), Mark, and Mark’s granddaughter, Kimberly Hayes. “Our whole family loves the game,” Mark said. “It’s a lot of fun, and everyone can play it.”
All four belong to the Indy Southside Croquet Club, which is seeking members. Call 220-1805 for more information.
