THE REV. JEREMY “JERRY” DUANE SHUMAKER
The Rev. Jeremy "Jerry" Duane Shumaker, 55, was born April 4, 1961, to evangelist Nellie Coy and Bishop Basil Lee Shumaker Sr. in Beech Grove, Ind., both of whom preceded him in death. Jerry graduated from Beech Grove High School and answered Jesus’ call to heaven on Nov. 13, 2016, at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. Moriah Apostolic Church held a going home celebration Nov. 19 with burial at Round Hill Cemetery following. Jerry was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard. He is survived by his children, Pamela Jean of Iowa, Katrina Ruth (Derick) Pickrell and Colleen (Shad) Smith of Indianapolis, Janine Wilcox of Florida and Robert Harlow of Indianapolis; siblings, Penny (Allen) Shumaker Crisp of Indianapolis, Lisa (Tim) Keough of Bloomington, Regina Shumaker of Brazil, Ind., evangelist Mark (Carol) Osborne and Lee (Kim) Shumaker (Kim) of Indianapolis and David Shumaker of Phoenix, Ariz.
