Students in Dick Gallamore’s fourth-grade class offered tips on how to bake a turkey:
• Heather Norris: Buy a 30-pound turkey from the Dead Turkey Salon. Take everything out of the turkey and mix it in a blender for seven minutes. Then you take all that stuff and pour it over the turkey before cooking it for eight hours. It will serve about 50 people.
• Charlie Zepp: Cook a 34-pound turkey for 90 minutes at 34 degrees.
• Abby Hurrle: Buy a 2-pound turkey; bring it home; clean it; add seasoning; set the oven at 450 degrees and cook for 30 minutes; remove from oven and serve.
• Andrew Ferry: Buy two turkeys; cook one for 45 minutes and burn the other one to serve to unwanted guests.
• Andrew Davis: Take the guts out of the turkey and cook it for 90 minutes. If it’s not done, put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.
