The Indy Air Bears single rope freestyle team of (from left) Katie Tyson, Allison Taylor, Morgan Golay and Taylor Nicholson took first-place honors in their division of the World Jump Rope Championships July 2-6 in Orlando, Fla., where jumpers from 31 countries competed. Taylor is a member of the Avon Aerial Orioles, but she didn’t have any partners going into the competition so she teamed up with the Air Bears.
Air Bears Dante Agresta, Eric Hinojosa, Elise McQueen and Grace LaVier finished second with their freestyle routine; Dante and Eric placed second with their two-wheel freestyle; Dante, Allison and Katie were third in double Dutch single freestyle; and Katie, Grace, Allison, Morgan and Elise placed third in the double Dutch triad.
Also competing for the Franklin Township-based team were Kristen Rue, Denver Hammons, Kyleigh Hindsley, Cayley Golay, Kynlie Sanders, Meghan Barber, Blake Long, Gabby Beck, Emily Robinson, Isabella Agresta, Abby Adams, Ella Beck, Evelyn Medina, Phelan Sloan and Jaylyn Coffey.
