SUBMITTED PHOTO Roncalli students and staff members were in Webster, W.V., from July 20-25 to help with cleanup and repairs from recent flooding in the area. The Roncalli “family” worked on three homes while staying in the northern part of the state. The group cleaned out a muddy basement, repaired cracks in the foundation, repaired gutters, removed walls/drywall, debris and rocks and dug a trench to help redirect water from a house in case of future flooding. They also replaced electrical outlets, fixed multiple leaks in sinks and toilets and built a new storage shed. But it wasn’t all work as the students found some time to cool off in the refreshing Appalachian waters.
