She previously was the weekend anchor in Terre Haute at WTHI, the CBS affiliate.
A graduate of Butler University, Bevis is a huge Butler basketball fan, following the Bulldogs to the NCAA championship game in 2010 and 2011. Other than Butler sports, she loves Notre Dame and all things March Madness. Florida teams are on her list to experience and learn to love.
During and after college, Bevis worked with Webstream Productions Inc. on live sporting events produced for collegiate conference websites, the NCAA and the Indianapolis Indians.
In Terre Haute she was honored with an Indiana Broadcasters Award for her special series documenting the first local police department’s Citizens Academy. From feeling the pains of a Taser to completing her first triathlon, she enjoyed lots of what life has to offer in front of the television cameras for the Wabash Valley to see.
“My time at Roncalli prepared me well for the challenges of college, academically and socially,” she said. “The principles I learned in my four years at Roncalli I still rely on today. I continue to challenge myself on a regular basis.
“Living more than 1,000 miles away from many family and friends, they continue to ground me, show me support and encourage me every day.”
