SUBMITTED PHOTO Franklin Central High School’s freshman class hosted a pencil drive the first week of March and collected more than 1,000 pencils for One Mission Society, a Greenwood-based organization whose main purpose is to see the Gospel of Jesus spread throughout the world. The pencils are for the agency’s Bridge to Reading literacy ministry, which teaches adults to read the language they speak. Volunteers tutor throughout Africa and in Colombia, South America.
