“America Goes Over,” a rare film about World War I, will be screened by film historian Eric Gray at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Garfield Park Arts Center.
Produced in 1927 by the U.S. Army Signal Corps, the silent movie documents the activities of the American Expeditionary Forces under Gen. John J. Pershing.
Grayson, who describes the film as “spectacular, one-of-a-kind footage,” and historian Glory-June Greiff will provide commentary.
