Founded in 1991 by Paul Richards of Salt Lake City, Bert Lams of Belgium and Hideyo Moriya of Japan, the band plays original compositions, surf covers and reworks of classical music.
The concert is being sponsored by Southsider Mark Gasper so his daughter, who has Down syndrome, can see the band, which normally plans in venues where patrons have be at least 21 years old.
“I love to take my family to concerts and musical theater productions,” said Gasper. “They are what we most enjoy doing together, and they are especially exciting and therapeutic for my daughter, who won’t be 21 for years.”
Gasper’s family has seen the band before, but the last time it played in Indianapolis for all ages was 13 years ago.
Gasper is looking forward to the concert because he knows the acoustics will be wonderful in the auditorium. The band will play for about 90 minutes before signing autographs and selling compact discs.
